Welcome to Tyne Valley Cycling!
About our Club
Tyne Valley Cycling Club was formed over ten years ago by a group of very experienced cyclists to encourage, promote and develop the sport of cycling in all its forms for the benefit of members of the Club and the community.
The Club organises regular club runs on a Wednesday (9:30am), Friday (9:30am) and Sunday (9:30am during GMT, 9:00am during BST) which start from Wylam outside the library in Falcon Terrace. Typically, an initial group splits into two smaller groups, one group doing shorter rides between stops at a steady pace, say 10-12mph while the second group will go further between stops at say 12-14 mph. Some members will decide on the day which group they feel like riding with.
Club meetings are every two months – held in Greenside Community Centre on the first Thursday of each ‘odd’ month at 7:30pm; we also arrange occasional social events.
The club offers a warm and friendly welcome to all cyclists with an opportunity to enjoy our sport and develop riding skills amongst friendly and knowledgeable cycling enthusiasts.
