We were sorry to hear that one of our members, Mike Jackson, had a minor heart attack whilst on the last leg of the End-To-End ride from Land’s End to John O’ Groats. It was a valiant attempt at this challenging 880 mile epic and Mike was so near the finish that the organisers credited him with the complete ride – and well deserved too!

After treatment at other hospitals Mike was transferred to Ward 20 of Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Foresterhill, AB25 2ZN. We wish him well for a full and speedy recovery.

The latest on Mike is that he’s still in Aberdeen Royal and has had heart bypass surgery. He’s expected to make a full recovery and we look forward to seeing him back on the bike again. Take it easy Mike!
