Leisure / Off-Road Groups
Our Leisure / Off-Road Groups will appeal to riders who prefer to cycle in a traffic-free environment when possible. Not all rides are entirely off-road as in some cases it’s necessary to use public roads to link off-road sections. Some rides are entirely on-road but the roads chosen are quiet country lanes with minimal traffic. Pre-ride information will normally indicate on vs off road routes.
Most rides are fairly short with plenty of comfort breaks, although occasionally they can be longer all-day rides, and the pace is gentle with plenty of support for novice or unfit riders.

Rides are always different and appeal to riders who love to socialise as well as keeping fit, and are friendly social gatherings that cater for non-competitive cyclists. Cafe, or pub stops on overnight trips, often feature and add to the fun element of the occasion.
David Roberts, with his wealth of experience of off-road and lanes routes, organises and leads monthly rides at a leisurely pace over generally non-technical terrain. The rides are around 4 hours, are always varied, feature different routes and views every time, and are shown on the website calendar and posts.
This group will appeal to riders looking for safe cycling at a sociable pace in a quiet environment, traffic-free when possible but traffic-quiet when not.
Group 2 ride reports will be available when the report format, which David, the webmaster and site visitor can manage easily and quickly, are fully developed. Group 2 Ride Reports
